Established in 2000, Opus began by introducing five road models in 2001. We started to create bicycles for the urban market in 2003 and a full line of mountain bikes was added in 2007. By 2010 Opus had launched a complete Kids’ Collection.
Today, we have over 86 bicycles in our line-up, including road competition and sport, touring, cyclocross, dual-suspension and hard tail mountain, 29ers, urbanista, urban performance, hybrid and kids bikes.
As we look back on the past decade, we can’t help but be thrilled to see the excitement that cycling is generating these days. We see more and more bikes on streets and trails. Our bike paths are filled with cyclists; membership in cycling groups and clubs is exploding; ski centres have transformed themselves into summer bike parks for thousands of enthusiasts; and even winter’s arrival doesn’t deter many cyclists.
At Opus, our challenge is to design and refine, to offer bikes for all types of cyclists—road, off-road, urban, kids and adults, beginners and experts.
As technology has evolved in the area of frame materials, componentry and assembly techniques, we’ve acquired the tools to design better-riding bikes than ever before. Our frames are made from the latest materials and are components are carefully selected to create the utmost riding experience for every model.
