Opus Bicycles warranties each new Opus aluminium bicycle frame against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original owner (except for dual suspension frames and forks). Opus Bicycles warranties each new Opus carbon bicycle frame for five years against defects in materials and workmanship.
Opus Bicycles also warranties all original parts against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. Paint and decals are warrantied for one year. Dual suspension frames and rigid forks are warrantied against defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the date of purchase.
This warranty is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of the defective frame, fork or part, at Opus’ discretion, and is the sole remedy provided for by the warranty or any implied warranty. The replacement or return policies are subject from time to time to modifications which will be detailed on this website.
All Opus warranties apply to the original owner from the date of purchase and are not transferable. Claims under this warranty must be made through an authorized Opus dealer. Proof of purchase is required. A warranty registration card must have been completed and received by Opus Bicycles within 10 days of the purchase date for a warranty claim to be processed.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, improper assembly or follow-up maintenance, or installation of parts or accessories not originally intended or compatible with the bicycle as sold or not made or sold by Opus Bicycles. The warranty does not apply to damage or failure due to accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect or any commercial or competitive use. Modification of the frame or components shall void this warranty.
Opus Bicycles shall not be responsible or otherwise held liable for any direct, incidental or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply. Labour charges for parts changeovers are not covered by the warranty. This warranty gives the consumer specific legal rights, and those rights may vary from place to place. This warranty does not affect the statutory rights of the consumer. The English version of the warranty shall prevail.
